Chests of Drawers

A chest of drawers provides drawer storage for the folded clothes a wardrobe does not hang, and its top adds a display surface to the bedroom. Varalli has 7 chest of drawers models, all tied to a collection: the Portofino Chest of Drawers, Puglia Chest of Drawers, Salina Chest of Drawers, Valencia Chest of Drawers, Pylos Chest of Drawers, Formentor Chest of Drawers and Calvi Chest of Drawers. In each of these seven collections, the chest of drawers can be chosen together with the same collection's nightstand and wardrobe.

A chest of drawers usually sits on the wall opposite or beside the bed. With a mirror hung above it, it also works as a place to get ready; if a television will go on it, its height should be considered against the viewing angle. Leave enough space in front for the drawers to open fully, a detail often forgotten in narrow rooms. The chests of drawers are made to the size of the room in our Modoko workshop in Ümraniye, and the finish and color are decided for each project.

The choice of collection also determines how the chest of drawers sits in the room. Portofino's luminous, curving language, Puglia's textured, handcrafted warmth and Salina's navy and brass accents on a cream base create very different bedrooms. Rovello and Montera do not include a chest of drawers; in these collections, storage is completed with wardrobes and nightstands.
