Benches and Ottomans
Benches and ottomans are small but frequently used pieces in the bedroom. They are used for sitting at the foot of the bed to put on shoes, for setting down a throw, or for sitting at the dressing table. Varalli has 42 bench and ottoman models. They appear in eight collections, and some are named for where they are used, such as the Calvi End-of-Bed Bench, the Portofino Closet Bench, the Formentor Dressing Bench and the Portofino Dressing Table Ottoman.
The Puglia Living Room Bench shows that these pieces do not stay in the bedroom alone: a bench adds extra seating in the living room, at the entrance or in front of a window. Among the models outside any collection are benches such as Bianchi, Colombo, Fontana and Ricci, and ottomans such as Alberti, Bruno, Galli and Rossetti. All models are made in our Modoko workshop in Ümraniye; fabric, finish and color are decided for each project.
When choosing an end-of-bed bench, it should not be wider than the bed, and there should be room in front of it to walk. An ottoman is a smaller mass, so it becomes a flexible seat in front of the dressing table or in the middle of the walk-in closet. Choosing the fabric in the same tone as the headboard or the curtains ties the room together, while a different color creates a small accent.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I choose a bench or an ottoman?
A bench is a long seating surface and suits linear spaces such as the foot of the bed or a wall of the walk-in closet. An ottoman is smaller and easily finds a place in front of the dressing table or in narrow corners. Many bedrooms use both.
How is the size of an end-of-bed bench determined?
The bench should not be wider than the bed and should leave a comfortable path in front of it. Because the models are made to the size of the space in our Modoko workshop in Ümraniye, the width can be set to suit your bed.
Which collections include benches and ottomans?
Eight collections include a bench or an ottoman: Portofino, Puglia, Salina, Valencia, Montera, Pylos, Formentor and Calvi. Choosing a collection piece ensures the bench or ottoman shares the same language as the bed and the other pieces.
Where can I see the fabric options?
Fabric, finish and color options are decided for each project, and you can see the samples up close at the Modoko showroom by appointment. There is no fixed price list; quotes are prepared based on model and dimensions, on WhatsApp or during a showroom meeting.
