Turnkey Interior Design: One Team from Site Survey to Handover
You don't split design, production and implementation across separate companies. At Varalli Interior a project runs as a single process, from site survey to concept, from technical drawings to bespoke furniture production and installation. The promise made in the drawing is kept in the space.

In short: with turnkey interior design you receive not a design file but a finished space, ready to use. Site survey, concept, 3D visualization, technical drawings, bespoke furniture production in our Modoko workshop, on-site implementation and installation run in one team; depending on the scope, the timeline starts from 4 months and can extend up to a year.
As an Istanbul interior design studio working since 1985, Varalli Interior runs villa, residence, office and commercial projects from its design studio and production workshop in Modoko. For current starting ranges, see our interior design fees guide.
Let’s talk about your project
A site survey appointment or WhatsApp: let’s clarify the scope together in the first meeting.
5 steps from site survey to handover
Every turnkey project goes through the same five stages; the output of each stage is the input of the next, and the same team runs them all.
What do we deliver in turnkey interior design?
Not a design file, but a finished space ready to use. In a turnkey scope, the process starts with a site survey and measurements and ends with concept design, 3D visualization, technical drawings, material selection, bespoke furniture production in our Modoko workshop, on-site implementation, installation and final checks. On handover day, the space is ready to live in, exactly as agreed in the drawings.
Projects start from 4 months and can extend up to a year depending on scope and project intensity. The schedule is given in writing, together with the scope, at the quotation stage.

Scope: what is included, and what is not?
Which spaces?
- Villas and detached houses
- Residences and apartments
- Offices and workspaces
- Cafes and restaurants
- Hotels and hospitality
- Beauty salons and spas
- Teen and children's rooms
- Bespoke furniture (sofas, dining, bedroom, TV units)
Included in a turnkey quote
- On-site survey, measurements and needs analysis
- Concept design and material / color palette
- 3D visualization and technical construction drawings
- Made-to-measure furniture production (in our own workshop)
- Coordination of interior fit-out and decoration work
- Site supervision and site management
- Installation, final checks and handover
- After-handover support
Items kept outside the scope
A turnkey quote covers the scope including furniture; the items below are priced separately on request and written as separate lines in the contract.
- Special marble and natural stone selections
- Italian paints and special surface finishes
- Imported products requested by the client (fixtures, lighting, hardware, etc.)
Real turnkey projects
In the three projects below, design, bespoke furniture production and on-site implementation were carried out by one team. All of them appear room by room in our project archive.

Need: For a software company: solving the reception, open-plan work area, meeting rooms and executive offices under one identity.
Scope: lobby and waiting area, workspace, meeting room, executive office, guest wc
Production and implementation: The reception, desks, meeting table and storage units were made in Modoko and installed together with the electrical and data infrastructure.

Need: In a multi-story villa: bringing the living room, kitchen, bedroom floor, veranda and attic together in the same design language.
Scope: staircase and hall, living room, dining room, kitchen, veranda and garden, guest wc
Production and implementation: Built-in and freestanding furniture was made to measure; fit-out, installation and handover ran on a single site schedule.

Need: In a residence apartment: planning the living room, kitchen and bedroom so that storage disappears within a compact floor area.
Scope: living room, kitchen, bedroom
Production and implementation: Kitchen cabinets, TV unit and wardrobe were made to the size of the walls; installation was completed in a single day in line with the building rules.
What determines the turnkey price?
Pricing is project-based: once the scope is clear after the site survey, a single total quote is given. The main factors that determine the fee are:
- Floor area and project type (apartment, villa, office, commercial)
- The current condition of the space (new build / renovation)
- Material level and surface craftsmanship
- The amount of bespoke furniture
- Technical work: electrical, mechanical, plumbing, ceiling and floor interventions
- Site conditions, access and delivery schedule
For current starting ranges and the factors that determine a turnkey price, see our fee guide; the figures are not repeated on this page.
Why turnkey? One center, one responsibility
One point of contact
The designer, the manufacturer and the contractor are not separate companies; responsibility stays with Varalli Interior from start to finish.
Our own production
Furniture is made in our Modoko workshop; the dimensions, finishes and details in the drawing are delivered in the space with the same quality.
Site supervision
The site schedule, teams and handover checks are managed from one center; you don't have to chase the process yourself.
Transparent scope
What is included in the project is clarified in writing at the quotation stage; no surprise items appear later.
What can go wrong in a fragmented process?
When design, production and implementation run at separate companies, the most common problem is a mismatch in dimensions and timing. A detail drawn by the designer may not be passed on fully to the manufacturer, and the manufacturer’s delivery schedule may not match the site schedule. When something goes wrong, finding out which company is responsible takes time.
- After the design is approved, the manufacturer can’t find the material in stock and the delivery date slips.
- The fit-out team and the furniture installation team both want to be on site at the same time, and the sequence of work gets mixed up.
- When a detail needs revising, responsibility can’t be divided between the designer, the manufacturer and the contractor.
- When handover is delayed, it becomes hard to pin down which stage caused the delay.
These risks don’t materialize in every project, but the likelihood rises in a fragmented process. With turnkey, the same team draws the design, makes the furniture and manages the implementation; you move from one stage to the next without losing information.
What does site supervision mean day to day?
Site supervision is not an abstract promise but a concrete routine. Our project manager follows the site schedule, checks dimensions on site before installation and plans the order of work between teams. When a problem comes up, the person making the decision is also the person who has known the project from the start.
| Topic | Fragmented process (separate companies) | Turnkey (Varalli Interior) |
|---|---|---|
| Responsibility | Designer, manufacturer and contractor separately | One team, one project manager |
| Passing on dimensions and details | Handed from company to company | Within the same team, with no loss of information |
| Schedule | Each company’s own program | A single site schedule |
| Responsibility for revisions | May be unclear | Clear from the start |

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a turnkey interior design project include?
It covers the whole process: from the site survey and measurements to concept design, from 3D visualization and technical drawings to bespoke furniture production, and from coordinating the fit-out work to installation and handover. The scope is clarified in writing at the quotation stage.
What is the difference between turnkey and design-only services?
With a design-only service, the project drawings are handed to you and you carry out the implementation with other companies. With turnkey, design, production, implementation and supervision are run by Varalli Interior from one hand, and the space is handed over ready to use.
How does the process start?
We start in our Modoko showroom or with an online design consultation. Once your needs and expectations are clear, we carry out a site survey at your space, then prepare the concept and the quote.
Where is the furniture made?
All furniture made for the project is produced in our own workshop in Modoko, Ümraniye. Because we don't outsource production, control over dimensions, finishes and details stays entirely with us.
Can I include my existing furniture in the project?
Yes. The pieces you want to keep are identified during the site survey and the design is composed around them.
Do you work on projects outside Istanbul?
Our main area of work is Istanbul. For projects in neighboring provinces and selected cities, the site survey and implementation plan are discussed in the meeting.
How is the price determined?
Pricing is project-based: after the site survey, the floor area, scope (furniture only, or including fit-out), material class and delivery schedule are assessed and a single total quote is given. Special marble, Italian paints and imported products you request are outside the scope and priced separately. For current ranges, see our Interior Design Fees page.
How long does a turnkey project take?
It depends on the scope and project intensity: projects start from 4 months and large villas or multi-space projects can take up to a year. The schedule is given in writing at the quotation stage.
How do I follow the process during the project?
The designer and project manager assigned to you share the production and site stages with you regularly. Critical decisions go ahead with your approval.
